1)      Chrono Trigger

Chrono Trigger has unqiue gameplay that is unfound on the SNES. That complex of gameplay is seen in games today, but back then it was unheard of! Gameplay mixed with the great story of Chrono Trigger makes it number 1 on my list.

2)      Super Mario World

One of my favorite games of all time. Why do I like it so much? Because it’s FUN! It is a platformer with great control mechanics and addicting level design. It’s not that Super Mario World is some masterpiece story that melts your heart, but it’s a video game…a video game that you WANT to play. When you hear Super Mario World music…you just know it…and you want to play it.

3)      The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past

One of the first open world games to hit consoles, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past is a true masterpiece. It set the foreground for all Zelda games made after it, and it is a strategy that has worked very well for them! One of my favorite games of all time, Ocarina of Time, takes much of its gameplay and storytelling from The Link to the Past! It almost doesn’t seem fair to put it at number 3, but with the amount of great games on SNES, 3rd place is a great spot for it.
